LGM’s headquarters at MNP Tower took home the award for “Tenant Improvement” at the 2016 Commercial Real Estate Awards of Excellence on Tuesday, May 17. The awards ceremony celebrated excellence in commercial real estate within the Metro Vancouver area for the years 2014 and 2015.
Nominees from around the city were recognized as design leaders across 10 categories, including awards for Retail Development, Industrial Development, and Investment Transaction. Finalists were selected on the basis of quality and performance, innovation and creativity, teamwork and collaboration, as well as community and environmental awareness.
As the winner for Tenant Improvement, LGM was acknowledged as having raised the bar on the quality, creativity and level of design in its interior space since moving into MNP Tower in late 2015. Among the office’s most notable features is the central staircase that features “polished granite cladding the core wall,” as well as the curved and stepped ceilings, custom millwork, refined architecture and European furnishings that can be found throughout the workplace.
This year marked the first time the Tenant Improvement category was part of the awards program. In early April, NAIOP Vancouver, the local chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, announced that the category would be added to the roster of awards in response to a significant level of interest from the community.
MNP Tower is owned and operated by Oxford Properties Group and CPPIB. LGM worked in collaboration with Canadian design firm, Dialog Design, to create the inspiring vision for the modern space.
